    mr-alternative Germany Civic Type R 30th anniversary

    Hi ephatch members!

I just sold these days my 2005 Civic Ep1 and bought a EP3R , better knwon as Civic Type R.

The car covered about 90000 miles, but engine head is re-builted with new valves ( previous owner may used wrong oil or valve timing was not correct).

Here some pics from my "new" EP:

Awesome Andre, that is so clean! I thought your German speedometers were in MPH? Any plans or are you gonna keep it stock? Also is the extra switch on the left for a cd changer?

@ Bill this extra switch on the left side is a remote for the dvd player, i had it in the ep1 too. Of course i have plans:
-cruise control (i need it for highway tunnel, otherwise i get a lot of speed tickets)
-install the alcantara headliner from my old Ep1
    - upholster all pillars with Alcantara
    - may get a JDM DC5 header later (good that a buddy has one DC5 and the dealership have a part list now)
    - refurbish the oem Enkei rims ( previous owner used it for winter tyres) and install new Bridgestone summer tires
    - install new winter tyres on the actual wheels
    - install the factory HID from model year 2004 / 2005
    - mugen front lip, maybe carbon fibre finish
    - install indepent vehicle heater (removed from the EP1), just need some more brackets and coolant hoses for the Ep3.

    @valo666

This shift boot comes from a accessory package with shift knob, costs a lot of money, but the 5 door civic (like my dad has got) uses the same shift boot and its available seperatly as a genuine honda spare part. Its mounted like the rubber one.

    @ vic

these are turn signals in the fenders , no side markers.
EDM havent got any side markers.

We call those turn signals that are on the fender's, side marker's here in the states. The light's you're probably referring to/thinking of are our USDM bumper light's.

got a close up picture of the alcantara? and possibly a link to a shop who sells it? It looks pretty spot on color wise, compared to the roof liner and the other plastic :)

I get the alcantra locally from a upholsterer, but its replica alcantara.

@ tttrigg3r yes the 30th anni edtion came with red recaros from factory, i guess the previous owner changed it because of these look worn or he needs money and so installed the normal pre-faclift type-r seats

@ superchargedk20 i dont like them too, they come with the car and tyres in a aceptable condition,so i use them.
I was at a tyre shop and they couldnt get Bridgestone Potenza in 205/45R17 Dimension at the moment, so i need to wait a bit until my Type R gets OEM Enkei wheels for the summer tyres.

@ username011 you dont see the cruise switch in the newer pics, i did a DIY oem like wiring harness and installed the cruise from a RSX Type-S (TB from RSX, all other stuff is from EDM civic 5 door and US civic coupe), works very fine and protects against speed tickets.
