Love it LHD type r....more proof that all of our chassis are the same, just different parts.

want to give some update here:
parted out some crsahed Civic Type R in November an dalso visited the Nurburgring raceway for some rounds with my Type R.
After these rounds i decided to do some mods for race use, so i organized new stuff:
- front brake gets new discs and tarox race pads
- H&R anti-roll bar set plus 4 brandnew endlinks
- Energy Suspension motor mount inserts
- oem Type R wheels (get new finsih now) with Bridgestone Potenza Re 050
planned:
-HJS racing cat
-catback exhaust (Invidia or custom)
- Airbox mod
- Hondata K-Pro
some update:
installed on friday some parts, so now the Energy suspension and H&R anti roll over kit is mounted. Have done some oil change too.
of course i was at the technical inspection for getting my technical sheet that erverythng is ok and legal ...
Some updates:
brake is new , so new brake discs (ATE ones) with tarox racing brake pads are installed.
Choosed for the front the tarox pads and for the rear genuine honda stuff.
Installed stainless brake lines and high temperature brake fluid by Ferodo.
my Enkei rims are ready from getting a new finish, so they get some Hankook tires next week.
This is how they look now:

first pic doesnt work Andre. But good combo.
EDIT: Your leather gear gaiter, is that an OEM EP2 one? or is it aftermarket?? I've been searching an oem Civic Type-S/EP2 one for awhile.

fixed the pic link.
my gear gaitor is from the Honda Access for the Ep 1/2.
Fits the normal knob by plug and play but for aftermarket knobs or oem ep3r knob the upper bracket has to be modified.
wheels look awesome. I want one of those honda access boots sooo bad. I have this red and black stiched alcantara gaiter right now, but it looks goofy.
some new pics taken at Nurbburgring raceway:
looks good man. Lapping Nurbburgring = one of my life goals
IMAG0148.jpgHav eto add some news here...after Nurburgring trackday i had 4 weeks later some accident, where luckily nothing major happened due to the very good working tarox brake pads and goodridge stainless steel brake lines.
story: traffic stopped and keeped rolling from time to time, one moment i looked to the side, then looked again forwards and shit all other cars stopped, so pushed the brakes such hard as i could and stopped from taking about 50kph to zero in a few metres distance. But i slightly pushed the car in front of me, but mostly i had damage while this car had some tow hitch.
But OEM bumper dont cracked, so it got only dents in paint.
Then i removed the OEM exhaust system and installed some Inividia G200 exhaust catback (one of a few which are allowed to drive here).
A few days later my project arrived at my garage: got another 2003 TypeR but only rolling chassis, which i started to repair and rebuild it for track use.
If there are a few interested in this project i will start a new thread about this car.
Here is just some youtube video which was taken on from a dyno when i checked the power of the engine after timing chain with guides were replaced and valve clearances checked.

Car got its stock power.
finally some pics from its current condition (speedo reading 156k kilometres so nearly 100k miles)

found some video on my computer which shows my last turn on Nuerburgring Nordschleife raceway, it was the combination with the short VLN track (uses part of Nuerburgring grand prix track, too)
Video is listed in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaE_-4lTuT4
Got some Hankook V12 evo tires which lost some grip when they got hot, so sometimes i drove slower than i could drive.
Very nice type R! Love it. Question tho, when you ugraded headlights to facelift type R, did you have to replace the front bumper to facelift model ep3 to?
