hmotorsonline has a k20a swap with motor, tranny, and ecu for 5,299 plus shipping. If someone paid 4799 for a k20a2 swap including tranny and ecu they got RAPED!!!

a2 swaps with tranny go for 3200shipped, then get k-pro for 860shipped and you are still ahead by a grand and now tuned would trounce a type-r swap on stock ecu. Plus if you ever had a reason to break 110mph you could laugh at the type-r as it hits the governor.

I do agree, pick up a k24a1 or a4, add a2 cams for a vtec killer setup and toss a turbo on it. Now before someone says you can't put a2 cams in an a4, it has already been done, just don't go past 45* vtc.

Most of all, have fun spending the money, I was looking forward to spending 3-4k this year on a swap and boost, but my honeymoon took all that away from me.

I'd start by properly boosting the stock motor, as it's already in there. Once it needs to be retired then swap in a K24.

FYI I know it costs a lot to swap a K into an EK, I did it three years ago and the parts add up fast. Would not be worth it to swap a K20a3 into an ek. So boost your stock motor, have fun.

and thats not just honda.
if your A3 doesnt have a lot of miles, u should boost that.

Yeah you can use the tranny off your A3 on a K24

take it from someone who has 5 grand under the hood... save your money and do a full out engine build or put it into a high yield IRA and enjoy it at a later point in life. If I could go back I would have just spent the 3 grand on a supercharger for the A3 and called it a day
