    Replacing the A/C Compressor

    This isn't going to be a full write up. Its actually very simple to do once you realize you have to pull the radiator first thing. If you do that it is actually pretty easy. If you don't its a pain in the ass.

    Guess which I did?

    i wanted to replace mines put i just took it to a auto parts and they did it for me becaause you have to clean the a/c lines and all that

    Yea, you are supposed to. I didn't and we'll see how long it lasts.

    The compressor itself? Or having it replaced like flboricua101 mentioned?

    I paid $250 for the compressor off ebay and did the work myself. I've got a buddy that is a Honda master mechanic and off the top of his head he quoted me a price of $1,000 to $1,300.

    my family mechanic quoted me at 180 for the entire job

    If you trust the guy then you do, but $180 won't even buy a new compressor. Maybe at his cost, but then just the compressor and not the condensor too, and he isn't taking anything for labor for that.
