rbc from the new si's
lookin on gettin a new intake manifold.. any recomendations?
how are the power gains .. any website that has em?
not much gains at all really...like 5hp with kpro, search around for one, new from honda is only like $150 or something like....they need to be modified to fit though

have u hurd anything on the skunk 2 mani. thats what i was lookin at in paticullar..
yeah ill prolly just stay with my stock one thanks for the info... ill spend the money somewhere else like a bottle warmer so i dont have to mess with the torche anymore lol..
You will see power losses with a stock internal A3 engine and the RBC or Junk2 mani's compared to a stock PRB mani. It has been proven countless dozens of times. Peak WHP means so very little on the street and track.

how is Skunk2's Junk compared to prb mani... i am just curious if you have anything proving its not comparable etc? i am not being an internet asshole either i am asking solely out of curiosity
their k series manifolds show you power loss on a stock type s (prb) head? maybe without a tune...is there any dyno sheets or anything documenting this?
Edit..just found this on their website with testing and actual dyno numbers and charts to back it up...more can be found here
http://cms.skunk2.com/id/492/K-Series-Data-Is-In/
i do realize this is on slightly modified motors, but its shows the differences well.
Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold vs. factory RBC and RRC manifolds.
Pro Series Manifold vs. RRC Manifold
- K20A2
- 11.5:1 compression ratio
- Stock cams
Variations:
- Solid line: Pro Series Manifold and stock K20A2 throttle body
- Dashed line: RRC manifold and stock K20A2 throttle body
Notice the increased horsepower and torque across the powerband when swapping the RRC manifold for the Pro Series version on a relatively stock K20A2. Also note the noticeable torque gains as low as 3,000 rpm and the significant jump in power after 8,000 rpm when the RRC manifold loses its ability to flow well.

be jealous :P
all those motors are modded k20a2 or k24s, none of them are a3. the a3 motor doesnt rev high enough or have enough air flow to take advantage of the bigger IMs
oh durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...forgot it was a3 i was lookin for..doh!
ill see if i can find up some a3 ones...does anyone have factual information showing the skunk2 one is no good and the rbc is the way to go?
be jealous :P
There are tons and tons of third party fully tuned dyno runs done, and the Skunk2 mani always comes out slightly lower in peak whp and alot lower in the torque dept on anything but a fully built 13:1 stage3 cammed A2 engine. Go over to K20A.org and there is all the info you will need.
And do not forget to take anything from any manufacturer as pure fiction unless it is verified by an independent third party.
Also do not forget that a RBC mani will also show losses on the A3 compared to a PRB(accept possibly with a stage3 or vtec killer setup).

i have stage 3 cams in my ep3 and my tuner said an rbc mani will only get me like 5hp
the only reason for getting an Skunk2 IM on a a2 would be if it is bolt on without the need for modding the headlight support/schuttle panel(?) So is it bolt on in and Ep3?
the rbc needs a slight modification to the mentioned panel to fit.. and a TB adaptor+ a couple of more things.
