    Well shucks...!

Today i broke a valve guide on my supercharged ep3
It knocked the valve out of place and while doing that it screwed up the top of my piston.
Repair costs aren't to crazy but im thinking about building it now since i have it apart anyways

Can anyone suggest a good company for
    -Valves
    -Retainers
    -Springs
    -Pistons
    -Rods

I would hate to invest a lot of money into this project and do it wrong!
    Thanks.

k24a1 swap would be a lot cheaper than building the A3, K24A2 would be a litle more expensive but be NASTY. I love my A3, but when it goes, it goes, im not putting another one in man

Thats true i have a Honda CRV Thats a k24 right??

But i put down 262HP to the wheels with my supercharged k20a3 and i'm at mile high! Denver CO

I wonder if i just swap the motors haha, think the crv would even go with the k20a3 lol

Blueprint makes good quality valvetrain parts that can take a beating. I used them in my B series builds and plan on using them in my first K build. Also, as 04EP3Hatch put it, putting in the K24 will be very satisfying, especially with a power adder such as the supecharger that you already have. The A3 just isn't worth building, unless of course for the repertoire factor of saying you beat "that guy" with your A3. That's just my opinion.

I can speak from experience in this case. I bent all 8 exhaust valves and decided to rebuild the A3 head with all Ferrea parts. Everything except the valve guides (we used Honda guides) and cams were replaced. To put is simply, for the money I spent in parts, labor, and machine work, I could have had a K20A2 w/ 6-speed tranny with money left over to pay at least half the labor on the swap. Go with a swap of just get the K24A1 head, of which both are better and cheaper solutions.

Personally, I would go with BC valve train(Brian Crower) but that's just me!

Im all for a supercharged setup, but 'serious boost' and roots blowers dont go hand n hand.

When it comes time to replace your a3, you wont regret dropping in the CRV k24a1 (2002-2005) engine. Its essentially a stroked k20a3... its bigger brother if you will.

I mean no offense by this man, but those numbers seem very inflated for your mods. Though, it could just be the way the dyno is setup or the kind of dyno it is as well. Every dyno does read differently. I would love to have seen your baseline dyno and then the after mods dyno to see the comparison of what you gained. Either way, I know the car must be fun as hell and it sounds like you are loving it!

I believe there are so many shops for that man. But be open for a person to person buying.
