I use Chevron. I like their gas station colors.
i get around 280 for city, 360 for highway
I use Chevron. I like their gas station colors.
Then I'll get the Red and Yellow one :D
Thats what i love about the EP3, it doesnt need premium. 87 will suffice just fine cause of the low compression nature of the motor. Saves lots of mula at the pump. I change my oil every 5k as well with full synthetic Schaeffer brand oil. My EP3 has 145,560 miles on the motor and runs like a champ...i must be doing something right.
It's Honda afterall. I'll keep using 87s but I'm still getting shitty MPG (last tank was 20mpg city FML). I've been doing research and I think I should be reving around 3k to 4k RPM before switching gears.
How much do you press on the pedal?
I heard shifting at 3.5-4.5k is ideal for best gas milage. Also check your tire pressure if they are to low your gas milage will go down.
the whole having a red valve cover thing, I was just messing around
haha please, nobody think i use 91 just cause of a painted valve cover
I run Chevron's 87 with techron.
In all honesty I first ran with nothing but 91 octane.
But after about 10 fill up's I learned It had no benefit to me or my car
I'm not sure how much MPG I'm getting, I'll have to figure it out..
once I figure out how you guys figure it out..
I feel like my MPG's suck, but I do put alot of miles on my car every week
listen to the others about the tire pressure.
Keep 'em filled, it will make a hugee difference.
also very noticable in the "feel" of the car as well.
Yah pressure should be something checked everyday IMO. Just have a gauge handy in your car. Another thing I do with my car once in a while is tighten my lug nuts lol there's always one or two that got more loose.
I've been driving diligently my last full tank except for that one time I had my friend try out my car (2 days ago). I'm hoping to get at least 27 MPG again.
