while you can put the a2 head on the a3 bottom end, you will be turning the engine in to a time bomb.
that I need to change head k20a2 and to leave to the block and tranny k20a3

No you will not have a time bomb, but you will need to use a typeS ECU at a minimum, kpro preferably. It will not be as powerful as a typeS and the time and cost of a head swap is about the same as doing a complete A2 swap.

it took me less time to pull the motor, swap over a head, waterpump, oil pump, and transmission, and put that new motor back into my car, Then it did to just change my head gasket while the motor was in the car. just an FYI.
I think fully tuned with bolt ons this set up makes about what a k20a2 makes all stock.
9.8:1 vs 11:1 that 1.2 points is good for over 20 extra HP if cammed for it, which the a2 cams are.
Let us not forget that you will be running a lower RPM oil pump, that might not be able to hold oil pressure up into the higher RPM ranges that head will be making power at.
