JDM Honda Civic EP3R Jackson Racing Supercharger Questions and Hesitations

    Hey Guys

OK, so I'm keen on going Supercharger this time round after turbocharging my last two Civic EG5's
    Time for a change.

Convenience and easy of installation is a massive draw card but need some things cleared up before purchasing that's confusing and concerning me..

I've read all the (JRSC) FAQ but that doesn't really help in my case..

Firstly, I'm guessing the installations very easy compared to my last turbo installs?

So the first problem I have is my that my tuner won't touch my car if I buy the JRSC kit..
Reason being, None of the EP3 supercharged in Sydney Australia haven't had any good numbers or results!

Now I believe the problem is we are not getting the correct kits or configuration for the Australian EP3R which are in fact Jap spec TYPE-Rs imported from Japan.

My guess is the kits can't handle the more powerful higher reving version hence the bad power figures.

    Stock
    Engine K20A
    Power 215HP
    Redline 8500RPM
    Helical LSD

    And so on http://www.j-garage.com/honda/civic/04spec.htm

I've been in touch we some other guys in the US who specialize in EP3/DC5 and apparently modding the DC5 kit to fit the JDM EP3's the answer?

    Any advise what be great

    Thanks

They probably got bad results bc boosting such a high compression motor like the k20a isn't a good idea.

    link?

neither comptech or jackson racing had designs that implemented any sort of intercooling that went into mass production for either the rsx or ep3 platforms. there are groups that made aftercoolers for the rsx spec jrsc and ctsc's though

You can always pick up the JRSC; upgrade to the DC5 mani, and go to mercracing.net they specialize in custom making after coolers for the JRSC, talk with Jose.

i would just use a ep3 specific kit with the k20a3 crank pulley and the 3.8 blower pulley running a 14gallon per hour methanol nozzle on a quality meth kit. that on a K20A with supporting mods is welllllllllll over 300whp

if you want to make the best out of the supercharger setup for your EPR i would suggest this setup. I've ran the ep3 jrsc kit with many differents setup from ep3 crank to k24 with different bp.

    ep3 blower kit
    2.5 idler pulley from JR
since your crank is the type R you will need a 3.0 blower pulley in order to hit 8-9 psi
    run a 650-750cc injector and you're fine.
with this setup u should be at 290-300whp

Anyone know what size belt you would need for the JRSC to fit on to the k20a motor?

Isn't it something like 62 or 62.2" with the 3.7" pulley and the a3 CP?

yes you do sir! i would most definately run the k20a3 crank pulley on your engine with the 3.8" blower pulley. at my 7700rpm redline i was hitting 7.8 psi, and at your 8500 you'd prolly see close to 9 which is not to much and not to little. just perfect :) throw in some water meth activated by kpro and your over the 300whp mrk
