EP3 RSX transmission electrical problems HELP!

So I swapped a RSX transmission into my EP3 after my stock one seized. My state requires that reverse lights work the vehicle and since the connectors are different on the transmissions the reverse lights no longer work. The dealer wants 370 for a RSX wire harness which is a pointless and overpriced solution.

    Ideas?

As far as I know the ONLY difference between the harnesses(o2'-04'typeS) are the reverse lockout, and 05'-06' have the VSS in the front vrs the rear and the reverse lockout. All use the same Reverse sensor as the EP3, so the connector should be the same, I have never had any issues with the reverse connector on all the swaps we have done.

    What year typeS trans?

Yes the bulbs work. The issue is the connector does match the one on the trans. Three different ones exist from what I have come across. I am guessing I can just replace the switch on the transmission, I dont see how voltage would change between models.

1 SWITCH ASSY., BACK LIGHT (GRAY) (TOKAI) (28700-PHR-003)
    $20.57 $20.57
1 SWITCH ASSY., BACK LIGHT (BLACK) (U-SHIN) (28700-PWL-003)
    $16.40 $16.40
1 SWITCH ASSY., BACK LIGHT (BLACK) (U-SHIN) (28700-PWL-013)
    $16.40 $16.40

Would this be a probable way to solve this, I cannot think of anything else.

the trans is from a 2002 rsx base with MT. The EP3 where going for around 1100 at the time, I sourced the RSX one for 400.

Yeah just swap the switch out, I had never ran into that issue before. How about posting a pic showing the switch and connector. Is it the keying or shape of the connector?
