Blah....haha. I read the mid pipe thing wrong? How does a race header eliminate the 02...do tell?

Raceheader's and cat removal cause the cell b/c the 2ndary 02 is no longer present. I have Kpro and a $250 02 sensor in a $1000 Rcrew header/ raised gas tank to except the straightest possible exhaust system/3" mid-pipe/ transition/2.5" res and 2.5" muffler. It goes under the rear subframe and points the muffler to the side behind the rear tire

EVERY race header I have fondled DOES NOT eliminate the secondary o2 sensor, only the stock cat. Though a custom built header can be specd to not offer the second port. But a spun can, metallic core cat can be added to EVERY race header produced, very easily.

Your RH to 3" midpipe and then back down to 2.5" rezzy and muffler is seriously downgrading your whp, just like adding a silencer to a fartcan muffler. The 3" midpipe is allowing the exhaust to expand and that causes the exhaust gases to COOL and slow down, then the exhaust flow must re-compress the gases into the 2.5" section.

The optimum exhaust system is a graduated stepped system, na and SC K20's start with a 2 3/8" collector(K24's can use a 2.5" collector), 2.5" midpipe and then a 3" axleback.

My rcrew only has one 02 port. I have three friends that run a RH/3"/2.5" muffler not including me. Our cars are quiter and by the time the exhaust reaches the end of the exhaust pipe it has cool down enough where it is ot slapping up against the inner walls of the pipe. I do not care what people say, this set up works great.

Whatever floats your boat, all that money on a decent header and then you choke it off.

I don't regret my bbp cat back one bit (eBay)- 105 shipped

If you want to go the twin loop route, add the muffler - 60 shipped and have a shop weld it on for 20-30 bucks...

And lastly I would do the hondata air box mod with k and n filter- 50 for the k and n

That's 250 for couple of well rounded performance mods.

Shop used on Craigslist and such- I got drop springs for 100. Seen a k and n for 10 bucks and may find rims for cheap.

Or if you just use the cat back with no twin loop, change your plugs and oil. Do some cosmetic painting like the stock wheels, brakes, valve cover... All this would boost overall moral with your car : )

You can buy little things too- magnetic drain plugs, shift bushings, hondata intake manifold gasket... All under 100 bucks combined!

Im trying to decide what Im going to do with my exhaust as well. The hard part is trying to figure out what to do about a test pipe. My Megan header has a 2.5" outlet, but the Megan test pipe has a 2.25" inlet. I am WANTING to do either a 2.5" or a 3" custom-weld back to a muffler. Any suggestions on what to do for a test pipe?

If you go 3", you must be going to turbo in the near future, or you'll lose all the torque that you barely have. If you go with 2.5, you should have at least a mild built motor or supercharger. Like talon mentioned the optimal choice would be 2.375" midpipe for a na k20.
