I just can not justify putting a bunch of cash into wheels for a DD. You worry about theft, curbing, brake dust, and on and on and on....Thank god it is winter time and I can run the steelies...LOL
For all you guys with the rare/expensive wheels - what do you use for anti-theft? I'm thinking of getting some BBS but my ep is my DD and I don't wanna have to worry about the wheels getting stolen all the time.
I know locking lugs are overridden pretty easily and an alarm is only good if you're nearby to defend your ride. Maybe rare wheels and a DD just aren't a good idea.

Keep a huge dog in the back that can open the hatch from the inside to attack anyone who touches your ep O.o
Or use lug nuts with different keys so at least its a deterrent to potential thieves. On top of that, maybe pick wheels that have the option for locking center caps as well.

Hire a bodyguard.
Seriously though, no DD of mine will get super nice wheels.
If someone wants it really bad, they will get it.
I put on some wheels lock and call it a day. And the other guys are right, no expensive wheels on a DD.
I use to DD my ep when it had volks and Regas, Should be good with wheel locks.
Do like I did and just buy some beat up 15" rotas. Trust me, no one will want them
if theives really want your wheels...they will steal it no matter what...even if they have to tow your car with a tow truck
wire a bomb to the wheel so when they take it off it explodes..enough said
This is true... on a local car forum people are complaining that their cars were stolen completely... later found just missing the wheels.
If you must have them, I would suggest 2 types of wheel locks, but even then, everything can be bought over the internet and 5 min of research can tell exactly what lugs you would have on there and what key gets them off, so choice is yours really. But I'm with the rest, my MR2 has my expensive wheels on it and it sits locked up in the garage unless I'm driving it. If the EP3 gets aftermarket, Rota here I come... one of the upsides when I was trying to find a car before the EP3 was that it could rock rota's nicely :)
Find a good deal on some legit wheels you can be happy with. Craigslist is king for finding nice wheels with meaty tires. Picked up my WRC's for 800 wrapped in bridgestone re760's
