    K24a2 for 1850?!

So ive been preparing to do my k24 swap. Originally i was gonna do the k24a1. I called all my local junkyards looking for those and nobody had any. So i decided to ask about tsx's. The one place says they have one for 1850. This seems like a really great price. They dont know the mileage though. Do you guys think this is worth the risk?

1850 is a lot to risk on an engine w unknown mileage. What year is it? I would estimate 20-25k a year for a worst case estimate and then see if you think it's worth it.

Honestly, that price isn't so good that I'd jump on it immediately. Did you try searching car-part.com? You can find tons of them out there (with known mileage) for that price.

That not bad price depending on the year of the engine and the mileage. They usually go for high 1000 to low 2000. You should contac seek speed in slatington, pa. They have engines around that price range. They will even do the install for a couple hundred more. Top notch guys. Ask for Eric or Blake, tell em 'antisieze mike' with the white ep sent ya.

If they don't know the mileage then they need to have it listed for 1300-1500. I got my k24a1 for 750, they didn't have the mileage listed but when the guy ran it through his computers it had 47k miles. He said that if I bought it within the week I could get that price, but if I waited he would have to update it on car-part and the price would go up significantly due to relatively low miles. You can always ask for the VIN number and run that through carfax.

thats a good price for a k24a2, i got mine for 1800 shipped with a warranty and it had 40k miles on it. I would jump on it because you dont find them that low at all
