    Cool JDMTCan from Virginia

hi guys ive been on the site since august but never posted anything until now lol long story short at first i had the lemon out of the baskett when i got my si but now that ive changed almost everything and done it my way or the right way it has been pretty good to me. now on to the car it has mostly a ton load of suspension work done to it due to my autocross racing and abusive daily drive other than that its just kpro and cai/i/rh/exh upgrades and ive been making custom skid plates for it and my friends rsx's and heres my ep officially the lowest in VA (subframe is only 1 and 3/4 inches off the ground)

Loving the rear brakes. Props for doing your own thing, I'd never drop anywhere near that low, but if that's your thing go for it! I'm glad to see you atleast don't have insanely stretched tires, LOL

Is the rear brakes kit you have the 2 piston fast brakes kit?

it has the stop tech big brake kit all the way around, i do quite a bit of heavy braking so i went for the whole lot awsome way to spend 2 grand lol. and it has t1r reverse endlinks so none of my steering or suspension is being stressed out being that low lol when summer comes around om goin to skid plate the whole car and try to get it only 1 inch of the ground

Welcome! Its nice to see you doing your own thing and props getting the car so low since you seem to enjoy it, though ill say one thing, going that low completely and totally fucks your handling because your suspension geometry is completely and totally wack now...at a higher ride your lcas will be angled downward, under load you don't want you geometry to compress more than horizontal, but the second you go so low your geometry is going negative under load you end up with a huge problem...

Im not hating, just trying to help if you want to get the car to perform in the handling department. The eps geometry goes to hell when you drop it more than 2 inches and 2inches is pushing it
    my ep is white...

well ive won 2 autocross events already on my current setup and im workin with my machine shop to create and market some lca's that allwo us to go that low and perform but with the t1r endlinks the front is 100% perfect people usually knock it until they either ride in it or see me at an event. the "too low is bad" is really out the window lol its engineered to perform!

Sorry I totally and completely don't buy that...not that you didn't win your events, good job, but that's simply not how suspension geometry works. Unless you are running some outrageous spring rates that essentially stiffen the vehicle so much that the car is essentially a go kart you will always be fighting geometry problems. Then again you are cone dodging, so the rules of track suspension go out the window for the crap you guys have to pull to get the cars to perform in such tight low speed courses, so if we are talking strictly an autox setup I could buy that this could work if you set it up right. On my racecar (1g crx, not ep) im modifying subframes and cutting out the rear end and modifying all the mounting points so I can get the car as close to the ground for low center of gravity and aerodynamics while maintaining geometry...one of the tricks the old crx guys do is stiffen the living hell out of their rear ends to get them to handle because the geometry goes to hell on them when they get them low, so by going way stiff they prevent the geometry from having an effect. It can work, especially in autox, but on the track it makes the rear ends really nervous and prone to causing the driver to end up looking at where he's already been ...

Its all good thanks for being a good sport...Im glad to see someone going for the all out gokart approach to the suspension on an ep for autox, I don't know if I've seen it done before on an ep...essentially "fuck suspension geometry, it ain't going to move anyway" throw on sticky tires, set your toe camber and caster and just go...

Where'd you pick up the rear kit? I've been thinking about getting wilwood for the front, but I feel the rears need upgrading too.
