    Have you tried Peanut Butter it may sound stupid but it works good on bronze wheels. The Peanut oil is good for gettin rid of oxidation. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1742344

    its not like pouring acid on the wheel, it creates a chemical reaction that makes the paint lose adhesion. sand blasting is far more dangerous to the metal than aircraft stripper. not that either are all that bad anyways...

    sandblasting is FTW. but only if it's a smaller machine and you go easy with it. i've never used aircraft stripper though

    i accually tried that the other day and it just made it worse... how long are you suppose to leave the peanut butter on for????

    I am not sure how long but i dont think it would really hurt the wheels. I saw put some on and let it sit for like a min and wipe it off. Try it on the inside of the wheel before the face. I wonder if you can just buy some peanut oil and wipe it on with a cloth

    I would just get them done by a professional, they aren't cheap wheels and I wouldn't risk damaging them.

    i like this idea... i was just trying to find something that would work right then so i could have some tires put on but im gonna have them stripped and pwdr coated.

    alright here are the wheels on my car after i cleaned them but the picture is dark ill get some better pictures when it stops raining.

    elbow grease and alot of penut butter and tire shine.... sounds crazy but it will work until i can get them refinished.

    I see thats cool well looks a lot better then they did before. So the peanut butter worked out pretty well?

    ya it worked out good.... the wheels have that 10 ft look haha get up close and you can see all the stains on them. but im pretty particular about my stuff so im gonna get my wheels refinished.
