I was hearing that they are meant to be with oem stock specification spring rate but i also heard people lowering there car with gr-2 with lowering springs? which is true

People lower on everything

Those are rated as stock replacements but people drop on them
Just like people dropping on their existing stock strut/shocks

I am late to respond here but I have these struts/shocks with Eibach springs and they work very well, I guess it depends on how aggressive you want to go...
