Just curious, any reason why you wanna go with race seats and harnesses? If its for the appearance, you might wanna think about whats more important: having your interior looking cool/jdm....or being safe?
Well i intend on turning my car into an off road vehicle when im done building it, so i thought it would be cool to have it look like a race car in the mean time.

and need to run the harness over a harness bar to get the proper angle, im mounted to a good bolt but it just doesint have the proper angle

The harness bar is not for mounting a harness but to get the right angle if setup like mine.

Also those reps you see on ebay will fall apart in a crash.
    I have that deck!
what kind of seat an harness are you rocking?

They are simply molded to a similar look and shape.
Most of them don't have reinforced backs and braces.
BUT because it's a replica doesn't mean it's not approved.

Their is a local shop that does 'replica seats'.
Their design is definitely based off of Bride, Sparco, and Recaro.
But they are full tested and stuff.
So to a sense, yes they make replica stuff, but it's kind of their own as well..
Kinda like Seibon (if I'm correct)
They do ALOT of replica stuff, but people swear by them.
(I may be wrong about accusing or saying they do replicas)

    I THINK f1 spec test's their stuff?
They are the factory/shop that makes a lot of 'nicer' replica seats
What's the name of that local shop?

I thought Sparco made everything good, I really like the new line of wheels that came out.
2 inch or 3 inch harness?

I have the Schroth Rallye 3 harness and its street legal unlike most, another thing some harnesses material have expiration dates I think I read that the material used will decay over time from getting in and out (the stretching) and the straps can get weak but dont quote me it was a while ago I read this.

    Oh I'm feeling really dumb here, but let me get this straight;
I can't use my OEM seat because the neck hole is too small and because the it can fold over an crush me... Right?
has anyone tried this? I know one of my buddies with an EP3 did it an it looked bad ass! his car was gutted tho.
I see the OEM type R Recaro with the harness all the time in magazines an what not. Can't those fold over and crush you?
I thought the RSX seats would be perfect.
By they way im over doing this especially since it compromises my safety im more curious now

For looks yeah, but I don't think they stand up to the proper safety standards
But thats just what I think, I may be wrong.

I think either the website should say, or you can contact them and ask if any of the seats, or any particular series is DOT approved
Or if they are only recommended for off road use, or if they are use-at-your-own risk kinda seats.
