how 2 strip chrome coating off of a exhaust ..?

i love the look of the discreet apexi noir exhaust below
    http://passwordjdm.com/APEXi-Noir-Ex...6884C2090.aspx
BUT the noir is not a straight thru design unlike the new quiet greddy SE exhaust below
    http://www.greddy.com/products/exhausts/spectrum-elite/

im looking on buying the greddy se exhaust and somehow strip the muffler of the chrome and make it look like the noir im just afraid it will look like shit... any opinions/pointers?

You do not want to strip it, just scuff the surface so the paint can adhere. I would spend a little and have it sand blasted lightly, it will produce a far nicer result.

Stripping the chrome off is not an easy task unless you have a plater do it

Eventually with time, high pressure and course media you can strip the chrome completely off, but there is absolutely no need to remove it, you only have to etch the surface to get your paint to adhere.
