He says it because when he got tuned there was an ep3 with a k24a2 and the same bolt ons as him, with a jrsc, making LESS power then his N/A k24a2.

Yes a kraftwerks kit would outperform it, but it will cost you 3x of the cost of a used jrsc.
    3 times more? not really

when i got my car tuned there was an ep with the same exact motor as me and with stage 2 cams and the jr supercharger did not add much at all. He called jackson racing and they said the old style supercharger's arent meant for the k24a2 and wont get the gains you want, the kraftwerks kit is worth the money since it doesnt cost an arm and a leg and will get you serious gains

someone on here said they made 280 with a jr supercharger on a k24a2, that is not a big increase when an NA k24a2 makes around 230-235 and stage 2-3 cams will get you right at 250-270

Someone here made 280 and many others are putting down over 300hp with jrsc on k24a2's. The thing is that the person that you saw when you went to get tuned, probably assumed that any n/a cam would be good for a supercharged application and that is absolutely not the case. Now if he had some IPS ksc in that k24a2 I am willing to bet it would have done 320+.

And yes, I am right about 3x as much. A used jrsc w/ injectors can be had for 1500 if you find the right deal. That kit you posted, that's not COMPLETE. The cheapest kit is 2795 and you will need to purchase an intercooler, custom intercooler piping, bov, injectors and other custom fabrication. And on top of that you lose a/c. All said and done you will be spending 4-4.5k to get it up and running.

I am not arguing that a kraftwerks kit is better than a jrsc, because it is. I am just stating that your rational for a jrsc not working a k24 is not valid. How else would the hasport crx put down over 300hp using a stock block k24a4 with skunk2 cams and a jrsc. It just so happens that the cam profiles of the skunk2 stage II cams work well with a jrsc.

yeah i think if price is an issue then a supercharged k24a1 is the way to go. a turbo k24a1 is even better though haha

I would but turbo is to much lol. I like the sc more(: does anybody kno how much I would have to the wheels wit this set up? Cuz I'm not sure how much power difference it is from the k24a2

My k24a1 (DCRH, RSX-S midpipe, EP axleback, AEM v2, KPro, TSX 10.5 pistons, stock cams) on 5psi was enough to destroy 370z's and frustrate a few bolt on Mustang Cobras. I hadnt even tuned past 30 degrees of cam advance yet... so there was plenty of power to be found.

Parts selection is everything. There is nothing wrong with a JRSC... and while the Kraftwerks kit DOES have greater potential... its hard to deny the simplicity and the sound of a roots style charger...

    ... k24a1, hands down.

Wow, that means I'm gonna push that much power also.

I have rsx-s Injen cai, obx rh, 05 rsx-s midpipe, stock axle back, and kpro.

I might get some f/i cams for my set up too.
