Hey guys, has anyone purchased, installed, and/or build a complete motor for an EP Frankenstein build?? If so, what price should I be looking at in doing it all (for all the essentials)? I will be doing it at my buddy's shop with help and won't need to worry about labor.

Also, if I wanted to purchase a brand new block, which k24 model would work with a k20A2 rebuild head without messing with upgraded pistons, rods, etc within the block? Thanks.

Find a used block at just about any salvage yard, there is no sense in wasting big bucks on just a bare block, you are looking at about 500-1000$ at the machine shop, and another grand in internal components. There really is only one choice if you are looking for a basically OEM set-up and that is a 06+ K24A2, and this route does not require building up either.

Just about any of the k24's out there can have the K20a2 head slapped on(except the K24A4 because of the horned pistons). Dont forget you will need Kpro.
