Did you get an alignment done ?
okay so everything went swimmingly with my 5 lug swap, EXCEPT the passenger front side has ridiculous positive camber, and toe out
what could cause this?? bad lower ball joint? bent knuckle? i don't know what it is or how to fix it and i definitely need to get to work tomorrow, so if anyone could help please please shed some light on this issue
and my control arm isn't bent because everything was fine with the 4 lug.
ok nevermind..........

The axle would have nothing to do with the camber or toe
My bet is a damaged knuckle. I went thru three cars at the salvage yard to get one that wasnt bent! The bottom ear/tang that the lowerball joint is pressed into bends very easily.
Were the knuckles sourced from the same vehicle?

the knuckles came from the same car.
the ball joint ended up being very very... broken. for lack of a better word. but that still didn't fully correct the issue
i didn't get an alignment yet but this isn't your run of the mill slightly out of whack settings. just by eyeballing it i would say there is about 5 degrees of toe out, and after replacing the ball joint i think that i could say its got about 1 or 2 degrees of positive camber.
a few of the kids that were around while i was doing the swap suggested a bent knuckle. im going to call around tomorrow and see if i could find a new one, only thing that sucks is that i just replaced the ball joint.

Bump. If its not the knuckle what could it be? And the knuckle seemed fine, how can I tell if its bent?
its gonna be hard to tell if its bent, even the slightest bend that is barely noticeable by eye can cause the problem your having. I would just call every single junkyard on long island and see if they have a knuckle and make sure you can return it if its bent. You can also press the new balljoint back out if the new knuckle you get has a shitty one in there already
so you got every other side done? just this one is giving you problems?
No lol actually the rear is frozen into the trailing arm. Just that one side, I'm sure the side that I replaced the trailing arm on will slide right out since it was barely a year ago.
And the type s shit is frozen in also, and my girlfriends genius dad destroyed the bolt holding it in so I can't even swap the entire trailing arm. I just can't get that shit out.

This is the drivers side, steering wheel straight.

This is the passenger side, steering wheel untouched.

As far as the toe being off and a alignment being required, that is to be expected.
Also what year was the donor typeS?

The type s was a 2002
This is what that knuckles ball joint looked like.
I feel maybe it was so off because it may have been hit, bending the knuckle aswell. I'll take it to get aligned, but if its because its a bent knuckle, wouldn't I be aligning it around the respective damages? That makes me feel.. Uncomfortable, for lack of a better word.
spray pb blaster and use an impact gun, i think i told you this but i was at the meet in jersey and wasnt paying attention to anything i was saying lol. So the bolt holding the trailing arm in the car now is stripped or just frozen? should have just waited for me to do it lol
Come over tomorrow and help me lol.
The one on the car is frozen. The type s is stripped.
probably better if you came to my house since you know, i have tools and an air compressor lol
