Try to bend it away from the exhaust or use a SS wire to hold it away.
Hey all,
recently after a road trip to the country-side, and a long drive on extremely rough roads, i noticed a rattle in the car. After looking the car over with one of my friends, he believed it was the heat shield. If you look at the underside, there is a piece of metal resting against the exhaust, causing the noise.
Sine it's driving me nuts, am i safe to just remove it and replace it later? Should i even bother to replace it?
Thanks,
Try to bend it away from the exhaust or use a SS wire to hold it away.

I just put a new exhaust on and was having the same problem. I pulled the heat shields off and it made it worse. I ended up putting the shields back on and heat wraping the pipe in between the cat and the resinator. It helped alot, but it does still knock around a littlle but not as much. Definetly not as noticeable or aggitating as it was before.
