one of these http://www.harborfreight.com/air-too...saw-91753.html will make short work of cutting it out. I used that when I was doing some work on my jeep and it cut through 1/8" like it was nothing. On my door panels I had to cut out a little and use spacers to fit the kappa perfects because of the magnet size. Back when I did that I only had a cut off wheel and it was not as easy as using the other saw.

    What was cut out

How the speaker fit after cutting it out

I had Polk db6501s in the front. No cutting was required. Just used a 1/2" MDF spacer.

The Infinity kappa perfect 6.1's have a large magnet structure on the back. here is a picture of it compared to the stock speakers I took a long time ago.

    NO cutting front speaker install

Didn't want to cut so just used 5 1/2 speakers mounted to stock speaker base. Cut out the existing speaker, cut holes for brackets and install like OEM. Easy!

i did exactly this the other day, i was going to take pictures but my camera is broken. i sliced out the speaker and the backing and dremeled it all smooth. except i mounted the 6.5 speaker directly to that.
