can we use universal shift boots on EP3? like momo's

Just looking for some boots to replace the OEM one. the red line ones are good looking, but not cheap. I found there's something only 20 (32 shipped). but they are universal boots, I don't know if we can use them on EP3, because the shift knob position and shape is so strange and unique.
Any one has done that before? and how about the size(length) ?

i bought one off ebay for 12 bucks free shipping. it said that it was for my car and it fits great, sags a little but i did have to trim some off. it was like the one below but without the knob and handle.
