    SoBibbSi: which dealer?

My dealer offered me $14,500 out the door. I turned it down. He's going to go lower now.

Sorry guys, I have to call BS on the 14500 prices and the like...unless they are demos that are being sold to relieve inventory. I called my hard core car guys and got nothing lower than 16000...without any candy. Maybe there are lower prices, but I doubt 14's on brand new, never touched SIs.

Just my opinion, and I got a solid price on mine, so I am not griping.

(Shrug.) Sounds like invoice price to dump the '02 inventory, maybe.

That's an awful lot of markup, from 14500 to 19500, don't you think?

Invoice on those cars at true dealer invoice is almost 16000. Maybe they dump for 1500 under invoice, but I have NEVER seen Honday do anything that aggressive.

Again, just my opinion. Also, they still are paying 18000-19000 for these in CA, so why not move excess stock there, like most car companies do?

I'm calling you on your BS comment ZENSUIT.

Check out the advertisement at Community Honda in Chicago. Price for 2002 is $14,995 on new 2002. Not demos. Other dealers in Chicago have sold for as low as $14,595. The dealer that was at $14,595 is sold out of 2002.
For 2003 the lowest advertised pricing in Chicago has been $16,795.

Community had about 10 2002 Si when I purchased mine. The plastic was still on the car.

    Si $14,995

I just got a new blue 03 two days before Christmas. It was 16,995 and only taxes and tags were added to it. Included floormats too. Also its on 1.9% APR for 60 months.

and then one yellow and a few of each other color they are kind of in the back all marked on sale for 15,999 i tihnk
i want to try to get one for 14 or under
i kind want low payments, wouldnt you? but i dont know if i go in there and try to get a low price, are they going to be assholes about it or could they be trying to get rid of them no matter what.... ?

what can i say to hypnotize the dealer into giving me a great deal for like 13999 w/ tax etc or something close to that...

I bought mine in mid November in the Bay Area (San Francisco Bay Area) and out the door, with interior and exterior treatments (but no floor mats...the bastards) and only 2 air bags, with 14 miles, I paid $15,888.
And i thought I got a good deal at the time. My payments are just under $300 for 60 months at 3.9%..... not bad compared to my 20% Katana payment...(bitch!)

Update: All the big dealers in Virginia have announced $14,995 firm so that they don't have to pay taxes on the cars.

I'm thinking the $14,995 price ends midnite December 31, because the whole point is to get them out of inventory before tax time!
