I had no issues with any grind on either the stock 5 sped(140Kmiles) or with the 6speed after I swapped(for another 160Kmiles), the trick is to change out the trans MTF every other oil change. The trans only holds 1.7 quarts.

But if the trans already has an issue, the only real fix is to replace the synchros and gears, though some MTF's will greatly help the damaged synchros to function
