How to separate passenger axle from intermediate shaft?

    hey everyone,

I did a search but couldn't quite find anything. I need to swap out my passenger side axle and for the life of me I can't figure out how to separate it from the intermediate shaft. Is there any secret to getting them separated? is there a c-clip or anything holding it in? I removed them from the car as a single unit because I couldn't get just the axle out

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

It can be stubborn for sure. The pass axle has a clip on it... so it snaps into the half shaft. It was always easier for me to remove them as one piece, but since youre replacing the axle, using a prybar between the half shaft bearing support and the axle is the way to go. Just be careful... that half shaft aint cheap... lol

Do either that ^^^ or use a mallet/hammer to hit the axle outward.
