    If the 6 spd doesnt work out then you still have your 5 spd ep anyways...homie above is probably right though. I have read the same thing about 6 spd and turbos from a lot of different forums...alot of guys with boost on k20a are switching out their 6 spd for 5 spd...6 spd is probably better for an all motor setup...

    Not to keep on with the same debate BUT take a look at WRX and then look at the STi. The STi has probably the worst gearing ever for a large turbo just because you're shifting 1-2-3 sooooo fast that you're losing time. On the other hand they said that the 09 WRX is FASTER than the same year STi in the quarter mile, wanna know why?


    Gearing

    Same reason evo MR guys step down to the bulletproof 5 speed from their godly 6 speed.

    yeah man, do it like me, get the tsx 6th gear and put it in with ep3 gears. that makes it like a type s 6 speed but slightly longer. if you want REAL long gears, do that and use a type s final drive. its like an HF k series. break 200 mph with that..

    oh yeah and i spin 2nd on 5 psi, so just imagine a type s transmission on anything more.

    Yeap, type s FD is 4.3 EP has 4.7, my type s trans has 4.7 and it makes the stock a3+6 speed a blast LOL

Verse the bigger one will off a little slower how ever while the smaller gear bike tops out this one still have room to peddle to gain more torque and power and you won't be braking your knees or ankles while trying to keep up.

    i understand what you are saying completely, i had an h22 with a gsr trans and the gears went way to fast after i went on boost so i switched back to an h22 trans, but even the type s trans has longer gears, im going to try it, ive done alot of research on it, there are some guys on k20a that are running the 6th gear with no problem. and yes i know im going to have wheel spin, its a front wheel drive... i have an lsd, and im getting new slicks to help for the track... whats your company shoot me a link or is it on your signature?

    im going with a a ctd-fab turbo kit thanks to vince. going to run a gt35r. will be up by the end of september. transmission is getting done now...

    btw im boosted now, thanks to ctd fab. he did an amazing job. ill have pics/videos up by the end of the week, we are waiting on the tune that will come on monday. the plan is to limit the set up to 400whp on 11psi we are thinking, until we build the fuel return set up then we are shooting for the stock k20a2 motor record, set at 604 about a month ago.

    damnnn going for 600+ on stock k20a2? who's tuning this monster?
