    Ideas jrsc or k24a2

    Please don't say go reasearch because I already did. Buying kpro this weekend and going to go get it tuned but I was thinking why waste 500 dollars on a tune that will barely get me 150 horse to the wheels. So I was thinking save that 500 and start saving for the jrsc or k24a2. It will prob be a winter build what will give me more power for the money my goal is around 220 to 250 horsepower I want to start keeping up with the big boys the a3 just not cutting it. From what I saw so far the k24a2 seems like it's getting the most power. I just want to hear more input. Also all the time you put into the swap could you just do jrsc an get close to the same power?

    get a k24a2, you will be able to make a lot more power and a jrsc k20a3 will barely be able to make the hp an NA k24a2 will make

    i agree. i had a conversation with someone with a jrsc-s k20a3 and they said a swap would be more worthy of the $1000+ you're gonna drop on it. plus you can always add a jrsc-s to any k series you've thrown into your ep3. good luck with your selection

    On a street kit, yes, but not on a race kit. IMO, the street kit is a waste of money for the gains it makes. A JRSC-R is a lot better and would be able to make your power goals on an A3.

    I don't know what other mods you have, but it sounds like you're not going to need a tune yet. Just use one of the pre-loaded tunes.

    race kit makes less than an NA k24a2, I made 225hp and 195tq on my k24a2 and the race kit makes around 205-210 with far less tq...pretty pathetic if you ask me

    I know at least two people that have made your numbers on stock A3s with I/RH/EX

    no fucking way a k20a3 made 225hp and 195 tq with just bolt ons. I had stage 3 cams and made 196hp and 141tq





    and he has meth, that makes a huge difference, the other numbers without meth are still pretty low considering how much psi he is running. 30hp more from a supercharger is horrible, if I just throw in cams ill be at the same hp and more tq

    30hp? You're kidding, right? EP3s don't make 160WHP from the factory. They make 160 at the crank. Check your math, buddy.

    And yes, I do know several people who made those numbers (225whp) with JRSC on an A3 without meth. Sorry your car/tune sucks.

    you didnt say sc in your post, all you said was i,rh,ex. I make as much power and more tq than a supercharged k20a3 with an NA motor, the k20a3 sucks and is a waste of money to sc
