Redline, Amsoil, Pennzoil Synchromesh, Honda MTF... you'll be fine with any of those
I'm wanting to flush and change out my tranny fluid and my clutch fluid (also install a stainless steel clutch line) and wondering which should I use? I was looking at Red Line but the weight seemed too much.

Ok, I guess I asked the wrong question. What weight should I use? The redline was 70w80 and it just seemed kinda heigh, what should I get?
the 70w80 is whats recommended for Hondas by Redline.
from their website:
"Satisifies the gear oil viscosity requirements of 70W, 75W, 80W, and motor oil viscosities of SAE 30, 10W30, and 5W30
# Popular for BMW, Honda and Acura, Ford Focus, late-model Mini Cooper, Land Rover/Range Rover LT77S, Dodge & Jeep NV1500, NV3500 and NV5600 truck transmissions
# Popular replacement for and improvement over GM Synchromesh® (#12345349) and Auto-Trak II® (#12378508) and Chrysler spec MS-9224"
Ok, now for a really dumb question. How much do I need? I think it's 2 quarts but not positive
yeah, it is about close to 2 quarts so you might as well buy 2 quarts.
Redline 70/80. Popular replacement for GM Snychromesh. WOW. Anyone actually tried it before? I haven't filled my trans yet, wouldn't mind trying it...
i can pick up amsoil local here. so i use that. its pretty good, i would recommend it myself if you cant find redline as easily.
also, gear oil viscosity is rated differently than motor oil. 70/80 gear is like a 10/30 motor from what i read somewhere else. 70-80 motor oil is super thick. like cooking oil, and smells terrible.
I just changed my tranny fluid using honda mtf and the difference is night and day compared to the old oil. I'm assuming the previous owner never changed the tranny fluid. I thought I was just a shitty driver and I haven't fully learned the ropes of driving a manual yet (learned on the ep3, got it last fall) but now it shifts so crisp and smooth. 2-3rd would grind for me occasionally as well, doesn't anymore.
I had absolutely zero issues when I followed a maintenance routine of changing the MTF every other oil change, it adds very little cost, but greatly extends the life of the trans as well as it makes it happy to have fresh fluids.
