    Stock wheel/Tire weight info

Just as an FYI, i weighed our stock wheel and tire and it came to 38lbs. As a comparison I weighed the 2000 si wheels with 205/50 falkens and it was 35lbs

    A couple newbie questions

How does that compare with other factory wheels? What does an average good quality 17 inch wheel and tire weigh?

Does anybody know what the wheel itself weighs? How about tires? Most aftermarket 17" rims seem to be around 20+lbs.

Velox PG-5s are 12.5lbs! I was curious about stock wheel weight b/c the lighter you go the more expensive it seems to get. I'm trying to find a happy medium.

    actually...

the stock wheel/tire combo weighs 38 lb 11 oz (100% tread on tires)

    17" BuddyClub P1 w/ 215/45/17 Kumho weigh 38 lb 6 oz
    17" BuddyClub P1 itself weighs 17 lb 6 oz
215/45/17 Kumho weighs 21.0 lbs itself.

Anyone else confirm that the stock wheels weigh 19 some lbs though? I would have guessed 16, but never 19.

Honda needs to learn a lesson from Mazda in terms of lilghtweight wheels.

heh, the 18.6lb tires are a burden too! What are some of
the tire weights out there with wider and larger/lighter rims?

I only weighed them with tires, but 19lbs is probably pretty close considering tires in that size range typically run around 20lbs
