So i have been looking in the forums lately about people who have turboed a stock k20a2. Im wondering if i should build my engine or if i am ok to just put a GT3076R turbo on it with nothing done to the engine. I have heard that both are good and i just dont know how much boost a k20a2 can hold safely.
depends on mileage and how much power u want. ppl say 400 is safe on a stock block but other factors such as FUEL come into play. i do 350whp dd on a built bottom end
I agree with the last 2,.. also remember boost psi is irrelevent,.. its not like at such and such boost your engine gives out. People build there cars based on how much hp they want and how much there engines can handle. Altitude, temp, your engine and how maintained it is, fuel, turbo size, tune and whatnot else are all factors as to how much hp youll be making.
I say go for the record. 900 hp stock k20a2!
Go for 1000 fuck it.
400 easy with a gt30. imo i think thats perfect. maybe head studs for peace of mind, but i've heard of k20/24a2's hitting over 400 without touching it.

im running 383 on a stock k20a2 the only thing that will limit you will be the stock fpr.
451 to the wheels here on a bone stock a2. Just fuel upgrades.
So i just realized i have a k20a3 not a k20a2. I have heard the a3 is not as good as the a2 so does that change anything about turboing it stock?
the k20a3 is a economy motor is like a ls motor on a integra the vtec kicks in too early but its a low compression motor and can hold a good amount of boost but u wont be seeing as much hp as the k20a2 dude even boosted your looking at around 200 260hp range
