TSX transmission? will it fit?

Hello all, i just joined as i just bought a 2002 EP3 and the modding bug has hit. I've been eyeballing the k24a2 swap and was wondering if the stock TSX 6spd would bolt up? i searched under "TSX transmission" and read through all 14 pages of topics and it wasnt mentioned once. Everyone is talking about the RSX type S or other LSD equipped 6spds but i found a breaker locally who wants $650 for the transmission. Thats cheaper than finding another 5spd and adding the 6th TSX gear.

Obviously it bolts up to the k24a2 (duh!) but does it have clearance issues in the engine bay? do the shifter cables match up and does the VSS match up?

I thought the transmission mount point was different...? I gotta check...

Regardless... the TSX trans guts swap into the EP3 trans casing...

the k24a2 tranny case is different. you can transfer the internals into a k20a3 or even a k20a2 or k20z1 case if you wanted

Right, see i knew there was something about it.

I have a mill and a lather at home so creating a custom transmission mount is not difficult IF that is the only issue...

otherwise a 5spd and 6th gear is a more economical situation.
