I have send a email to jackson racing and they said the supercharge can be bore for sure!
But he was concern with the structural integrity after boring the supercharge.

I'd like to get some advise on that...

I don't want to waste my throttle body + my skunk2 intake (this is normal but i don't feel like wasting both ! ).
If i can't use my throttle i might cancel the project

More then likely no one can help you here,.. people bought throttle bodies in the past and it didint net any gains on the a3 most ep owners dont get one let alone pair it with a JRSC,.. you may want to check clubrsx, they have k20's aswell. They have tryed alot more parts and combo's and theres alot more info over there compaired to ephatch with all the info that has been lost through the years.

Jackson Racing should be able to tell you better than anyone as it's their design.

Did you contact Jackson Racing (i.e. Oscar Jackson, who to my knowledge only deals with Rotrex these days)

--or did you contact Moss Motors (it is my understanding that they bought the rights to sell the JRSC)

These are the kind of questions that the engineering department of one of those companies should be answering, IMO.

Hope that helps at least a little.

You'll need an adapter to combine the two. Jmercado from Merc Racing and a few guys off from clubrsx.com have had this exact question. The JRSC throttle body "inlet casting" can be sent out and bored out by Maxbore along with your stock TB (up to 64mm at butterfly), but it will not mount up to any of the 70mm TB's on the market. A new inlet casting would have to be made, although it would be worthwhile depending on your opinion.

On a K20a3, I'd do the Maxbore for the inlet casting and TB, then save up for a Stiegemeier port and rebuild.

There's an intake inlet bolted on to the charger that the tb bolts to. That part can be bored. It's stock bore which I believe is 64.5mm. I matched mine to my 70mm tb. It started getting pretty close to the IAC port on the bottom, but I think 74mm could be done.

Huh, good to know, but I wonder if the TB is overkill if the inlet inner diameter cannot be bored as far as what could take advantage of the 74mm TB? I know the old BDL 70+mm TB's had a hell of a time working correctly and often required some modification to stop them from binding. Does anybody know if the Skunk2 70+mm TB's have corrected that issue?

I used the skunk2 70mm on the unmodified inlet for a while with 0 problems. You can always run a 70mm spacer if you have a problem. A third option if you are nervous about trying to port match the inlet would be use the 74mm tb, and port match the inlet on the SC to 70mm, then get a spacer and taper it from 74-70mm. I would just match the inlet to 74mm and call it a day. The IAC valve port can be thin, just not penetrated into.

No, I know it bolts up (otherwise it wouldn't be a bolt on to K-series IMs). Theta on the UK forums did it back in the day (say 2004 or 2005) with a BDL, but the inlet castings inner diameter wasn't sufficient to make it worthwhile (according to him, it lacked flow even when ported). I know Scuffers from the UK has addressed this issue and made a different casting in order to take advantage of 70mm and larger TB's as well as Jmercado and Sharper. Here's a couple pics below of each of their designs in order to take advantage of larger butterfly openings from the larger TB's.

    Sharper's Inlet Casting

    Scuffer's Inlet Casting

^^^Notice it FULLY takes advantage of a larger TB's larger butterfly and opening vs. the stock JRSC inlet casting which would need to be almost over ported.

    Jmercado's Inlet Casting

Now that we are straight on what a proper 70+mm inlet casting looks like, let's look at the an old ported JRSC inlet casting looks like...

    Compared to this.....

So, I guess what I'm trying to get across is, yes it will bolt up, but you need to contact Jmercado for a better inlet casting if you want to take advantage of ALL 74mm's of your throttle body.

The scuffers inlet looks pretty legit. Makes sense it will add more flow with that design. The JRSC inlet takes a pretty harsh turn right away. For maximum gain, definitely consider one of the aftermarket inlets.
