    k20z3/k20a2 head

I got the Z3 short block, the A2 head and the Z3 gears with obx lsd... my questions are... things i need to get/change (alternator, wires and plugs, engine mounts,etc...)? will it bolt on directly the block & head? a2-z3-k24a2 cams, which one should i get?

    Thanks for your attention/interest

are those internals is your ep3 case? the speed sensor and shifter arm are different on the z3 trans case and require modification.

alternator, wires, harness, etc should swap over.

    mounts will be fine.

not sure on which cams to run. i would say k20a2 since that is the head you have.

yeah most accessories should swap right over.

make sure to leave the ac compressor hooked up for the swap, then the system won't need to be recharged when it's all done.

i would get some new plugs just for the sake of having them. your a3 ones should work if you have to use them though.

do you have that selection of cams at your disposal? cause theres a good combination of z3/k24a2 cams that makes the "best" oem gains. not sure which way it is though.

Does anyone have any numbers on how much hp this swap will push out with a2 cams? Ball park is fine. I'm asking cuz I have a chance to get my hands on one.
    Thanks in advance.

06 (to 08?) k24a2 cams are the best OEM cams out there as far as lift and duration of all lobes. Heres a good comparison of OEM cam specs/pictures - http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43261
