    go for 235's! :D
and is it better to run wider rims w/beefy tires? or to run 7ish rims w/beefy tires? is there any advantages or disadvantages? let me know what you guys know! XD

For a 225 you'd probably want to run a 8 inch wide rim. You don't want to "balloon" your tires. You'll feel the sidewalks rolling through turns. Basically a 7 inch wide time would feel less stable on 225's versus a 8.

These only weight 14lbs. And would be ideal for 225s I think on a low budget:

It is hard being four lug. Look into 16x8 it may be easier to come across

I have 16 x 8.5, 37 offset, 245/45, fit fine with fender work (fronts). Have since added 10mm spacers.

so your running a +27 offset basically... because with my current set up 17x8.25 +25 when you do the math i got (don't know the correct term for it) 79.8mm to the fender and 129.8mm into the wheel well and you got 81 mm to the fender and 135 mm into the wheel well and your wheels fit fine with 245/45? with that small difference can i just roll and pull my fenders and run 245/45 in the front and 225/45 in the rear with the rims i have now and be good?

with that set up of yours whats you front camber at? and how much did you pull the fenders? i must know since if its possible it would be cool to keep the wheels i got right now :D

if you're ok with rotas, they have the following: GRID 1780 35 4X100 67.1 SPEED BRZ
    model/size/offset/hub bore/color
19lbs, so not great, but not horrible.
    they have 12 wheels available.

Showstoppers should be able to order them for you. Theyre down in glendale so you could taje a road trip and pick them up. Double check the hub bore. I dont remember what it is.

so i think I'm gonna stick to my current set up with the 8.25's unless i find a good deal on a 17x8ish +35 set or a 5 lug swap.
But I'm gonna roll the front and rear and pull the fenders out like crazy. Gonna try running 235/40/17 in the front and 215/45/17 in the rear. you think this set up will work? anyone got input on how much I'm gonna need to pull the fender? any input would be greatly appreciated! xD

So I was thinking last night about a stagger setup. Likeeeee 17x9 with 255's up front and 17x8 with 235's in the back on rpf1's. if I got the wide j's racing fenders up front do you think I could pull it off?

I'm pulling off 245s with the liners on and all stock fenders, unmodified. So you could with the proper offset I think
