Ep3 05 Civic SI Lights Queston

Alright I have a 2005 civic si ep3 and i was wondering what I would have to do to swap my 05 headlights for some 02-03 headlights.

oh damn. i think they look too much like focus headlights when compared to the 04-05s. have you considered depo projectors or black housings? it would save you some hassle. i haven't seen much info around here about converting from 04-05 to 02-03.

dang yea i have considered those, but for some reason i love wat the 02-03 lights look like compared to the 04-05

be careful with Depo projectors, quality is iffy. as for the difference other than the look of the diff headlights, 02-03 headlights use diff bulbs, the lo-high are one bulb a 9003, 04-05 are two bulbs, 9006/9005, also 02-03 use diff bulbs for front turn signals (7443), and 04-05 use 1157....

thanks man, so i wouldn't have to do any rewiring of any sort, simply just change the bulbs?

or instead couldn't i just get the 02 headlights for my 05 and get HID's?

the bulb sockets themselves will be different, not just the bulbs. you'll have to splice and rewire the pigtails from your new headlights, assuming the bulb sockets and pigtails are included. if they aren't, things get much harder haha

They will fit the car, but your bulbs wont fit.

you'll have to re-wire a new harness. you're going from bi-xenon to H4.

I guess the same theory applies..just reverse..

I'm sure a lot of 02/03 owners would be willing to trade for you 04/05 headlights if you plan on going that route.
