Just to clarify I am sure he mean't 161lb-ft of torque.
hmm, ive noticed that the element engine has the same shift linkage, not too sure if they come in a 5sp, but the one at the dealership was an auto, but the linkage should hook right up... its pushin 161 horse, and 361lb foot!!! but any insight on this would be nice -mike

whos "he"? hmm, when i seen the car on auto week, me and my friends were trippin out when we seen the specs on the element, cause the 361 lb foot, cause i had just got my car, and they showed the interior, and the shift linkage would have hooked right up, but according to edmunds, they do have 161... which sucks! but, it was just a thought -mike
"he" being you in your post when you said 361lb-ft.
true.... :D
How in the hell =did they come up with that #?
This is the specs right from honda.
Horsepower @ rpm (SAE net) 160 @ 5500
Torque (lb-ft @ rpm) 161 @ 4500
Redline (rpm) 6500
Compression Ratio 9.7: 1
Displacement (cc) 2354
Its a 2.4L
might be doable, but might not fit under the hood w/o a lot of modifications
If you really wanted to swap a 2.4, the new Acura TSX has 200hp and 166 lb-ft. of torque.
nice nice, nah it was weird, cause most the people i chill with are all about imports, so we were watchin auto week, it was the one with the mazda 6, element, and a couple other things, but we were watchin, and it was either the day i got my car, ot the day after, and they showed it, and we were all like, 361?!!!!! daaaaaaaaayum!! and all that nonsense haha looks like the k20a2 is still what im gonna go with, either that or the jackson :D -mike
