Greetings everyone.

I'm working my way through my k24a2 swap and am almost done.

Have dealt with a few issues, not the least of being that the previous owner of the engine (k20.org - sk8board{Pete} ) cut corners when installing the k20 oil pump and used the wrong chain guide.

But now i have everything together.. and because i am a perfectionist i am dealing with one more issue.

The RBB manifold puts the EP3 Throttle body at and angle where the throttle and cruise cables basically come out of the bracket DIRECTLY VERTICAL. This means that when i shut the hood, the cables are getting bent very sharply ( nearly 90deg ) right where they exit the throttle body bracket.

This cant be good for the cable / pedal feel for the long run.

Most threads i look up say the solution is to cut out some of the insulation on the bottom of the hood. I don't like this option since it would lead to a hot spot on the hood, and eventualy paint oxidation right at that spot. Besides this would get me what.. another 1/4 inch of clearance.. not a big improvement.

Beyond that, has anyone else ran into this issue, if so what did you do?

Any other throttle cable bracket options? ( different car, aftermarket)
