Check the fuses on the amp maybe one burnt out
MANNY KID 15
My car has been sitting for a while and my radio worked fine. After 2 weeks of sitting and disconnected battery, now everytime i start my car the radio plays for 10 secs the volume cuts off. I do have a four channel amp and everything is connected perfectly. Any suggestions?

try unhooking your fuse that's under the hood (the one in the amp powerline) and hooking it back up. it should reset your amp and fix it.
I never let my car sit.. After checking the above fixes, check to make sure the RCAs aren't grounding out on something.. I've had this same issue twice.
First time: Head unit (Kenwood) was sending a negative signal to the amp. Amp was going in "Protect". Swapped out the head unit, problem resolved.
Second time: Same issue, tested different head unit.. Sound would still go out after 10 secs. Powered up speakers off of head unit.. No problem. Swapped out amp (Soundstream), problem resolved.
