so my clutch is starting to go and i know it needs to be replaced. im on a tight budget right now so could i just replace the clutch disk???
you can replace just the disc, but I strongly reccomend you resurface your flywheel while your in there and the throw out bearing if there is no damage to the pressure plate.
either way if your in there spend the extra money and do a whole clutch, its not an easy process to do it in the fiorst place so don't make it a common practice getting in there because its a PITA
1967 Firebird. . . Yeah its alright
Legendary Ephatcher
I would replace both just from knowing how many pressure plate failures ive seen on this site. Save up for one more week, baby the clutch and buy a kit
Agreed! Just save up and do it right. My clutch is also fried at the moment.. the EP has been sitting for a month but i ordered an Exedy Stage1 and im about to order the race flywheel to go with it while im in there..
