    Hatch area carpet mat

    Hey guys,

I have researched this, so don't yell at me.

I am looking for a new(or good condition used) hatch area carpet mat (the one that covers up the spare tire area). Anybody know where I can find this piece?

On my GTI I had an upholstery shop make me one. Bastard charged me an arm and a leg, but he matched up the carpeting pretty well.

I have recently decided though, that I will be going hardwood for the hatch area in the GTI, and if I am satisfied, will probably do the same to the EP. Gonna pick up some bleached bamboo pre-fit Bella Wood flooring this weekend. There should be plenty enough for both cars. Gonna run me a bit over $100 for a box of 3/8" I believe.

Even though this is something I did (carpeting), and plan on doing (hardwood) it is not my intention to insult nor be combative towards the OP. As with anything I say, dont be mad.

You could build a new trunk liner and carpet it. Click here for the DIY.

    I just updated the links.
