Is it legal to have white LED lights in place of my license plate lighting?

I am looking to replace the factory-installed lighting on my license plate lights with white flexible led strip. Is that legal in Pennsylvania? Could I get in trouble for it at all?

Also, I am looking to install a led ceiling lighting inside the car. Could that be a violation? I know that best led light bulbs is not generally on while the car is moving, but still.

you can get white leds that will fit right in the two sockets where the stock lights are. that's what i have and have had no trouble with cops with them.

same with the interior lights as well. you can get LEDs to replace them so you don't have to worry about rigging up the strips

Sorry I cant answer your question as im in Cali but what I can say is a dont think cops are worried about this kind of thing, I mean the worst you can get is a fix it ticket. It's not like its a driving violation. If for any crazy reason they pull you over for it they will say take it off. Then just take it off and pay $10. Just my $.02 but good luck
