No. Your stock EP3 axles will work just fine. I just did a K20A swap into an EM2 over the spring and he has a 4 bolt setup using the EP3 axles and it worked great!

    Does that mean Just Wondering?
I paid $4'800 cash and it included:

    - engine
    - transmission
    - ECU
    - axles
    - exhaust manifold and cat with O2 sensors
    - engine harness complete and uncut
    - charge harness complete and uncut

    1. You're EP3 axles will work.
    2. If you're using the JDM ECU you'll need the JDM O2 sensors and you'll have to bypass the immobilizer relay behind the glove box.
    3. you might or might not have to notch the shifter base to be able to get into reverse
    4. everything else bolts right up and is straight forward.

yes it means just wondering. Do I have to use the JDM hardness. I know I have to use a few of the A3 sensors, but I thought the stock harness works. Also I have a Buddy Club SS does this require notching?

5 speed EP3's do not have reverse lockout. 6 speed EP's have an electrical lockout so you don't accidentally engage reverse from 5th gear. I would recommend using the JDM harness because it has reverse lockout wired in. If you use your EP3 harness, you'll have to wire in the reverse lockout. If you can find a clean swap that has all the harnesses intact and uncut, you won't have to wire anything and it'll all work properly.

As for the BC short shifter, I'm not 100% sure whether or not it'll engage reverse. You'll have to read up on it to know for sure.

Rewiring it would be a huge headache, I think you could also use a K20A2 harness
