    turbo manifold help

    Hey guys so ive had my car for a while but always been on a budget I bought it from a friend its a k20a3 with skunk2 turbo 1 cams t3t4 turbonetics turbi recently ive opened up a little here and there but ive noticed it seems to be spooling slow it seems it has a small leak but idk ifs its the maifold design also? so I was thinking about changing it but my friend I bought it from says its a fullrace manifold! The manifold mounts the turbo on the bottom and the wastegate one top. Does anyone have this manifold? Is it a good manifold or should I invest in another one? If so what kinda and? And also im on a budget like most people thanks!

    Take a picture if you can of the manifold. Also your spool most likely is being affected due to not running an oil restrictor to the turbo and/or the oil return is not vertical enough for gravity to pull the oil down the drain hose. Check to see if your burning oil while driving and take note when oil is being burnt. Also make sure you're venting the crankcase properly and hooo up a catch can to operate under vacuum. That will help with draining the oil down as well by creating a pressure difference inside the crankcase.

    The oil return is pretty vertical but where does the oil restrictor go? And what does it look like? How would I check to if the crankcase is venting properly?

    thats a cybernation manifold, odd's are its cracked and thats where your losing pressure, or your wastegate is opening prematurely

    Didn't think of that right away! Thanks for dropping in and adding to that.

    He's got a good point. Also that exhaust wrap job is HORRENDOUS. Whoever did that cannot wrap worth saving their life. It's not doing anything with the way that thing looks. I would take it off and check to see if it is cracked anywhere on the manifold THEN do what I mentioned in my previous post.

    Is the cybernation a reputable manifold? Ill un wrap it soom its just been tough with this dam weather! But how would I be able to tell if the wastgate is opening to early?

    It connects to the oil feed? And where can I get one?

    cybernation manifold is ok, just had a problem with cracking, and using hard to find parts like that sharp 90 intake coupler. go google what a restrictor is. and go buy a vacuum hand pump and some vac line, so you can troubleshoot your wastegate. and go read the Turbo 101 link in my sig.
