    I have done this.
Keep in mind that this will eliminate your air bag and your SRS light will come on. (it doesn't seem to bother me, like a check engine or that green blinking key light lol. i pulled the cluster and took out the green key light.)

I bought a NRG version one quick release. both parts together will set you back about $200.
    I bought a momo wheel. about $200.
i got all my parts from ebay.

all in all, i like it and you always have the reassurance of alittle more theft protection. its really hard to drive a car with no steering wheel.

took about 40 minutes to do, laying on your back in the drivers side floor to get the column screws is a yoga experience.

    good luck!

edit: just want to add that this isnt something to cheap out on. the NRG quick release is solidly made.

if someone really wants to steal your car they're gonna do it no matter how much protection you have. but if it helps you sleep at night then i guess it's worth it. i feel like a quick release and wheel should be reserved for track cars though. the OEM honda wheel is great and could save your life in an accident. don't get rid of it til you have a 4 point harness.

i have owned about 20 cars in my life.
my ep3 was the first to have a airbag.
the interesting part is, none of my other cars came with a four point harness....go figure.

as far as theft is concerned.....yeah youll make yourself crazy worrying about something you have very little control over.

i didnt take any pictures while i was doing the install.
if you look on youtube or google...youll find some images.

that may be true. but the fact is you DO have the airbag on the honda so i personally wouldn't just wanna ditch it when the OEM wheel is pretty good anyway. but to each his own. another 200 bucks and you could have k pro nowadays.

    Steering wheel setup??!!!

    I've got an aftermarket wheel.

I'm using a sparco hub, with a nrg short quick release to a NRG wheel. I use a 4 in extension when I use my Personal wheel.

Sparco hub was about $80 (local)
NRG quick release and wheel from eBay was about $150
    Personal wheel $300 (local)

I have been thinking about getting a quick release especially after the NRG v3 released. That thing is slick! This is my current set-up:

MOMO hub adapter: $60 (I think I got it off ebay)
1" steering wheel extension ($20 eBay)
NRG Pilota wheel 320mm $120 when I bought it, on sale now (http://www.racinglab.com/nrg-steerin...-st-001rb.html)

I think I will remove the 1" extension if I go with the v3. Depends on how much closer it brings the wheel. I do like it real close.
    Here's the v3 quick release ($160): http://www.racinglab.com/nrg-qr35-srk-650bk.html

And a Picture of my set-up. I can take one from the side if you want to see the extension. It's just a black piece that bolts to the MOMO hub though:

Hoe does the suede feel/ perform? I'm thinking about picking up the NRG with a 3" concave and the best looking one is suede.

the suede looks/feels really nice, BUT if your hand gets wet/sweaty, even alittle, it will cause that part of the suede to develope a "shine". in the side shot photo, you can see where my left hand holds the wheel.
it still feels good, BUT if i get another momo wheel, it will be normal leather and not suede.

    something like this:
