    Maintenance Schedules...140k plus

    Anyone have recommendations for maintenance items besides the usual oil changes etc...like things we need to have checked...I'm at 159k mileage and i want the beast to last forever or 200K plus... all help is much appreciated.

    if you havent done anything for a while then:

    trans fluid
    spark plugs
    serpentine belt
    coolant flush
    suspension pieces if necessary (ball joints, etc) also grease all suspension parts via zerks

    i would also seafoam it and possibly do a valve adjustment

    Don't forget to check for cam galling if you have been using 5W-20!!

    thanks fellas ok just was a double check...most of the items i've done already...although i did switch up heads and added a vtec killer setup...i wanna keep the other components in tip top condition...anyone know how often u change coolant/brake fluid...last time was 3 yrs ago...am i due?

    yup, I change that shit yearly, or every other year.

    as far as 200k+ maintainence goes....... if it goes bang, pop, click, knock, bam, rattle, shake, or crack, when it aint supposed to, replace that shit.
