Did you use thread sealer? Like pipe thread sealer tape?
O right guys so i got another dam problem. My car is turbocharged and i recently added a oil pressure gauge, the gauge works well but after driving my car everyday i noticed a leak. i located it and its coming from the oil pressure sending unit it is a after market glow shift unit and i cant seem to get it to stop leaking! i am currently tapped in to the main oil feed in the rear and bascially have a cross shapped brass fitting. Any tips you guys have, or any set ups on how yours is set up let me know please and thanks again! you guys are all lots of help!
Did you use thread sealer? Like pipe thread sealer tape?
When I had my turbo rsx I used the tape and never had any leaking problems
and i heard the liquid was better then the tape? but still leaking
Is the actual sender tapped to the block ?
the stock sending unit is no to the block directly, its a cross bassically one side to the block, the stock oil sending unit on one side, my trubo feed on one side, and the oil pressure sensor on one side
from the sending unit everything else seems fine
and also my oil pressure gauge will sometimes go all the way down to zero!? could this be cause of the leak or do you think it could be my oil sending unit? anything you guys have to help me with i would appreciate it thanks!
also my gauge sometimes goes all the way down to zero when i come to a stop do you think it could be cause of a leak or maybe my oil sending pressure sending unit/ pressure sensor is bad? im kinda freaking out cause i figured it was the gauge but it works fine under pressure? any info would help thanks guys!
Maybe its the sending unit. I'm not a big fan of using a T , especially if the sending unit is near the block. I ran a braided line and everything connects to a vibrant manifold. Less stress on block
what kinda adapter is that? and how or is it mounted to the fire wall? that looks like it would be a lot easier to access also
you need this - http://www.speedograph-richfield.com...ipe_lines.html TP8
the only thing is that does not have a connection for the oil feed.. I think i got it all figured out!! :) thanks for all the input guys but now i may have to sell the car
