    Replace steering bushings w/ bearings?

I was packing the upper part of the front strut assembly with grease today and noticed the size of the bushing. I think I can get that exact size bearing for about $5 a piece. I was just wondering if we could toss the bushings and use bearings for an overall smoother steering response like the WRX.

you talking about the tie rod end?

If it's anything like all the other tie rod ends on other cars, it is a ball and socket type joint, and no you can't simply replace it with a bearing.

no no, not the tie rod joint, the upper strut assembly. You know the top plate that slides onto the shock shaft after the rubber end, there is a bushing in there, looks like 6x12 or something.
