What block would be the best for me to use for this? To gain the most hp. With whatever block i use could I still use my stock a3 ecu and wiring harness?
you could use any block you want but why would you use an a3 head the flow is inferior compared to the k20 head and the k24 head. IMO i would just save up for a full swap if you planned on buying a block to throw on your a3 head. KPRO would be best if you planned on going frank for tuning purposes and it wont run like crap.
You need to do some research in the motor section. Rummage around in there and you'll have better questions to ask.

honestly i don't know, since most people opt for the better flowing head, the k20a2 head. buuuuut i would go with the k24 block. but im pretty sure you need a KPRO ecu to tune it or it'll run crappy wiring harness should be fine
